Medical Prefixes List

Finding a medical prefixes list can be hard enough... let alone having to learn them which is even harder...

... that's why we've included our medical prefixes list here in an alphabetical fashion over a number of pages.

Our aim is to make it easier for you to learn them!

What's more, we've removed most variations of the prefixes and included the prime example.

For instance, the prefix 'mut' is rarely (if ever) found without the 'a' on the end... so we list it as 'muta'... meaning "genetic change."

Therefore, mutagen is that which causes genetic change. As is the case with muta and mutagen, finding a relationship between the medical prefixes list and the words they make up can become a key element in learning them.

Our medical prefixes list for the letters H through L is below.
